Join us at the Ontario County Historical Society to commemorate the 160th anniversary of Robert E. Lee’s surrender to the Union Army at Appomattox Court House!
Enjoy a short talk about the significance of the historical event, followed by an excerpt from a local soldier’s writings about his experience. Afterwards, in recognition of National Poetry Month, discover and delight in works of “found poetry,” developed from Civil War era letters in our collection at OCHS.
