Join us for a book release and author meet and greet with Paul Mitchell.
Jasper Parrish was eleven years old in 1778 when the American Revolution came to his Pennsylvania home. Taken from his settler family into the world of the Haudenosaunee, adopted by a Mohawk family, he became both witness and participant in the struggle for the future of the Six Nations and the expanding United States.
Artifacts from Ontario County Historical Society’s extensive holdings related to Jasper Parrish, early Canandaigua, and the Canandaigua Treaty will be on display.
All are welcome to this event. Light refreshments will be served.
